GRASSHOPPER COMPUTATIONAL DESIGN COURSE


Basic Grasshopper knowledge required.

Note: This course is designed for those who have some understanding of the software Grasshopper.

Even this being the case, the course will explain all components and workflow from scratch.

  • 3 SESSIONS OF APROX 1,5HRS - 2 HRS (ONE SESSION PER DAY)

EACH SESSION IS INDEPENDENT AND COMPLETELY EXPLAINED FROM SCRATCH.AND EXPLAINED IN DETAIL

COURSE INTENTION:

This workshop is designed to explore how complex architectural geometries can be understood through clear computational logic and parametric thinking.

Over the course of two days, participants will study and deconstruct iconic projects such as the UAE Pavilion, Al Bahar Towers, and Foster’s Gherkin, translating their geometric systems into structured Grasshopper workflows.

Rather than focusing only on recreating final forms, the course emphasizes the process behind them — breaking down intricate geometries into simple, understandable steps that can be analyzed, rebuilt, and adapted through Grasshopper.

The workshop is intended for architects, designers, and students who already have a basic understanding of Grasshopper and want to strengthen their ability to interpret and develop computational design strategies.
